Saturday

This is usually meant to be, and is the day, that one finds out what has not been done. Well the Administration team had done a very efficient job of ensuring the beds were done and the paper work trail was all in order. This being done the Presidents and myself were allowed to soak up the knowledge in the advisory panel on how everything actually works, those behind the scene matters that the Presidents of the Security Council (Issy Knight and Charlotte Tomlinson) and everybody else for that, take for granted, the sorting through of mundane paper work, unless your Maddie Steer of course. Delegates arrive and the mess is about to start.

Every so often you would hear on the walkie-talkie the frantic shout of ‘Nick, where are you?’ as someone else had found something which needed bringing to my attention or discussing. This is the first day that the workload hits you at a 100 mph, and you’re actually told to be responsible for committees or they will collapse without your feeding them of resolutions.
